MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - A Berkeley County EMS employee was arrested Friday after state troopers say she took marijuana from an injured felony DUI suspect last week and then tried to hide it from police.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Chelsea Arrowood of Summerville was caring for a woman at the scene of a car crash last Thursday when she took marijuana from her pants pocket.
State troopers concluded their investigation Friday by charging Arrowood with obstruction of justice. According to highway patrol, obstructing justice carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Arrowood is being lodged in the Berkeley County Detention Center.
