James Island armed robbery suspect on the run

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County sheriff's deputies are searching for an armed robber Monday after a gas station was held up Sunday night.

According the sheriff's office, a man walked into the Blue Water Exxon located at 772 Folly Road on James Island around 10 p.m. Sunday. Deputies say the man started waving a gun around and demanding money.

The suspect grabbed some cash and then took off running. He was carrying a black revolver. No one was injured.

According to deputies, he was wearing a green ski mask and green jacket. Deputies are still searching for him.
