Hanahan police to charge ReVille in 5 criminal sex cases

HANAHAN, SC (WCSC) - Accused child predator Louis ReVille will face five new charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The Hanahan Police Department had been investigating six possible cases against ReVille, but said Monday that they will charge him in five.

Police arrested 32-year-old Reville, of Mount Pleasant, in late October. He is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center on more than $1 million bail.

Hanahan police said Monday that some of the victims in their jurisdiction may also have been abused in Mt. Pleasant. Authorities plan to bring the new charges to a grand jury for an indictment.

ReVille has already been charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of lewd acts on a minor by Mt. Pleasant police. Summerville police are also investigating ReVille.

A woman who used to live next door to ReVille in Hanahan Plantation said he occasionally had teenaged boys over to his house.

"I couldn't believe I was living next to a child molester and just very shocked because we would see him and his wife," Donna Kiessling said. "She went out and jogged and they just seemed like nice, church-going people."

Kiessling said ReVille was her neighbor in Hanahan Plantation for about two years.

"I did know there were some teenage boys that came out occasionally, but nothing unusual that I picked up on," she said.

Hanahan police say the allegations in their jurisdiction stemmed from written statements ReVille gave to investigators.
