Man stabbed in North Charleston; Suspect detained by police

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A fight left one man with stab wounds and a second in police custody Tuesday afternoon in North Charleston.

According to North Charleston police, officers responded to 1681 Court Yard Square just before 3 p.m. in reference to a stabbing. On scene, officers located the 27-year-old victim on the ground with stab wounds. He was transported to MUSC.

According to witnesses, the victim entered a home for help after he was stabbed during an altercation with two other men.

Following a search of the area, a male subject was located and detained. Officers are still attempting to locate the other subject. Police say the victim and suspects all know each other.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this time and the investigation continues.
