James Island gas station manager robbed at gunpoint

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A James Island gas station manager was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is searching for the suspect who approached the victim from behind armed with a gun and demanded money at the Scotchman Station around 5:13 a.m.

According to investigators, the suspect followed the manager into the store and left with an amount of money.

The suspect is described as 5'10", 180 lbs, wearing a black hoodie, a red bandanna and last seen headed down Fleming Road.

Authorities are continuing the investigation.
