Man wanted for exposing himself to CVS customers

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Police are on the lookout for man who exposed himself to CVS customers in downtown.

On Sunday, the Charleston Police Department responded to 59 George St. in reference to a man exposing himself to customers in the store.

The victim said she was shopping in the store when she saw a man expose himself to her and her friend.

According to the victim, at one point, the victim's friend was sitting on the floor when the suspect attempted to put his exposed crotch in front of her face. Police say when the victim saw the act, she yelled at the suspect to get out of the store and chased him outside of the store.

Authorities say that the man ran out of the store towards St. Philip Street.

A CVS employee said he had seen the suspect come into the store several times in the night, but did not purchase anything. The employee also said that he had seen the suspect in the store before.

The victim described the suspect as a white man, average build, 160 to 190 lbs, 5'10" to 6-feet, wearing a white shirt with a dark colored tie and black pants.

Police are continuing the investigation.
