SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is searching for two men who attempted to cash payroll checks at a store in Summerville.
According to investigators, the men entered the Torres Superette on 300 Owens Drive around 3:49 p.m. on Nov. 16. The sheriff's office says both men were intending to cash what appeared to be two payroll checks from Raders Towing on North Main Street in Summerville.
An incident report states that when asked for identification, both individuals presented a driver's license.
The sheriff's office says after the men got their licenses back from the clerk, both individuals left the Torres Superette without obtaining any money and leaving the checks behind.
