Cops: Man holds victim at gunpoint during armed robbery

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are looking for a man accused of holding a victim at gunpoint Thursday night during an armed robbery at The Corner Store on Sumner Avenue.

North Charleston police officers responded to 1489 Sumner Ave. around 10 p.m. Thursday in reference to an armed robbery at The Corner Store.

The victim told police that a black male wearing a white hat, blue and white bandana over his face and black gloves robbed him at gunpoint. According to the victim, the suspect pointed the gun at him and yelled "Get down."

The victim complied and then the suspect took a bank bag from under the counter and ran out of the front door and got into a small box style, dark blue or burgundy vehicle.

The victim went back inside the store to call police and noticed that the suspect dropped the bank bag, which was lying on the floor behind the counter.
