Charleston cops lock up 2 suspects for April murder

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A second suspect in an April homicide turned himself in to police. He was denied bond Saturday.

Charleston police arrested one man and a second turned himself in on murder charges connected with an April 29 murder on Delano Street.

Officers charged 19-year-old Antonio Odell McNeil, of Pickup Miles Court in North Charleston, with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Authorities also charged 22-year-old Kyser Montgomery for accessory before the fact to murder. Montgomery turned himself into police Thursday night.

In April, officers responded to the area of Austin Avenue and Delano Street in reference to a man being shot. The victim was found lying in the street. He was transported by EMS, but later died.

Both Montgomery and McNeil are being held in the Charleston County Detention Center
