BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A 33-year-old man was killed following a car accident in Berkeley County Friday afternoon.
Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury says Jason Daniel Thayer of Huger died from head trauma after being ejected from an SUV.
Authorities say around 2:30 p.m., a 1994 Ford Explorer was traveling on Charity Church Road in Huger.
Salisbury says the Explorer overturned and ran off the right side of the roadway ejecting Thayer, who was a passenger from the vehicle.
Thayer was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital. Authorities say Thayer was not wearing a seatbelt. The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the S C Highway Patrol.
