CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Former South Carolina Treasurer Thomas Ravenel is headed to court again.
Media outlets has reported that court papers filed in New York's Manhattan Supreme Court show the Republican is suing his former fiancée to get back an engagement ring.
Court papers say the 49-year-old Ravenel and Danielle Tosi broke off a two-month engagement earlier this year. Ravenel says he wants the $47,500 ring back.
Tosi has not filed a response. Ravenel did not immediately return a message.
Ravenel resigned after serving six months as state treasurer and spent less than a year behind bars. The multimillionaire land developer pleaded guilty to buying cocaine for himself and to sharing it with friends.
