Six men wanted for beating man then stealing his car

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is looking for six men suspected of beating a man and stealing his car Tuesday morning.

Authorities say a 30-year-old man was seeking help from residents at the Campus Corner Apartments after having been beaten and his car stolen.

The victim says as he approached a home off Mingo Street, the suspects turned off the porch light and began assaulting him. Officers located several of the victim's personal belongings in front of a Norman Street home including clothing and an identification badge.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said, "We are working diligently to identify and locate these individuals, so they do not have the opportunity to beat up anyone else."

The victim's wallet was stolen along with the vehicle he was driving, a white 2000 Kia Sephia.
