Music equipment worth thousands stolen from W. Ashley home

WEST ASHLEY, SC (AP) - Police are looking for the people responsible for breaking into a West Ashley home and stealing thousands of dollars worth of music equipment.

On Saturday, Charleston police officers responded to a home on Acacia Street in reference to a burglary.

Authorities say they met with a 51-year-old man who told officers that he was a friend of the victim who was gone on vacation.

When the man arrived at the home, he saw a window shattered in the back left bedroom of the home. According to a police report, when the man entered the room he noticed several large music equipment items were missing.

The man also noticed that the deadbolt of the front door was not engaged.

Missing from the room were:

1 Rowland RD700 Digital piano with case
2 Peavey amplifiers models CB100 & XR600
1 Peavey Sound System Impluse 5000
1 Bloom Microphone Stand
1 Perkins Brailer

Police are continuing the investigation.
