CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police arrested a man Wednesday who is accused of robbing a James Island bank within walking distance of his own residence last month.
Rashad Edward Harley, 33, of 1097 Harbor View Road, was arrested Wednesday and charged with entering a bank with the intent to steal. This is the second bank robbery Harley has been connected to in less than a week.
Police say that at 10 a.m. on Nov. 14, Harley entered the First Federal Bank located at 1011 Harbor View Road and demanded money from a teller. He then fled the area on foot.
The First Federal Bank is located just minutes from Harley's last known residence.
Harley was arrested last Thursday and charged with robbing a First Citizens Bank in Hollywood on November 28.
Harley is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center. He is scheduled to have a bond hearing Thursday.
