Attempted murder suspect escapes deputies at Georgetown hospital

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office says a 27-year-old man wanted for attempted murder in Horry County escaped from authorities Friday night.

Deputies say Kendrick Walter Dorell Green of Myrtle Beach was visiting a relative at the Waccamaw Hospital when authorities were notified that he was wanted. Authorities say a Georgetown sheriff's deputy entered the parking lot of the hospital when the suspect was spotted outside the hospital.

The deputy made contact with Green, but he got away on foot behind the hospital and ran into woods. Horry County Police along with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Blooldhound Tracking Team searched the area for the suspect.

Investigators say they believed the suspect possibly got a ride with someone on Pond Road. Green is described as a black man, about 6'2'' and weighing 160 pounds.
