The 2nd time was a charm for Earl Brown.
The Burke Head Coach, who came up short in his first attempt to win his 700th game, picked up the historic win with an 82-40 victory over Lincoln on Friday night.
Brown becomes just the third coach in the state to win 700 games and the first from the Lowcountry. He joins John Smith of Great Falls and Taft M. Watson of Terrells Bay as the only other coaches in the state to reach the mark.
Brown had a chance to reach 700 last Saturday at home against rivals North Charleston, but the Bulldogs squandered a 9 point 4th quarter lead and lost their first game of the season.
