Most Wanted: Christopher Lee Roberts

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -

Summerville Police are looking for Christopher Lee Roberts.

Roberts, 27, is wanted on a charge of grand larceny in connection with the theft of $5,500 worth of jewelry from a friend who let her stay at her house.

"He's been moving in with people, just stealing all their property while he's there," said Summerville Police Capt. Jon Rogers. "It's unfortunate when you're trying to do the good deed and it comes back and in this case they're out quite a bit."

Police soon recovered some of the stolen jewelry.

"We were able to track down, he was pawning the items for a little bit of money and of course he was getting a lot of money for him. It didn't cost him anything," Rogers said.

Police say Roberts is wanted by some other agencies for stealing guns.

"It's a sinking feeling when we hear there's stolen weapons on the street because we just don't have any way to track them," Rogers explained.

Roberts stands 5'8" and weighs about 170 pounds.

His last known address was on Swinton Creek Road in the town of Hollywood.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
