Deputies: Shooting suspect, victim have child with same woman

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Colleton County sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect wanted for shooting another man Sunday afternoon. Deputies say the suspect and the victim each have a child with the same woman.

Deputies responded to a shooting near Walterboro around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The 24-year-old victim was shot in the leg. The victim was shot on Gadsen Loop and was transported to the Colleton Regional Medical Center.

According to the victim's mother, her son was leaning over at her car talking to her while when the suspect vehicle drove towards them and fired a gunshot. The victim is currently stable in a Charleston area hospital.

The suspect's vehicle was located by deputies near Walterboro. The driver of the vehicle was cooperative, but the shooting suspect was no longer in the vehicle, police say.

Investigators were able to identify the shooter as Isaac Mitchell "Mitch" Sanders. He is being sought for questioning in the shooting.
