BOYS' BRACKET

SEMIFINALS

Porter-Gaud 61, Bethesda Academy 55 - The Cyclones got their offense going in the second half to advance to the title game of their own tournament for the first time since 2008.  K.J. James led Porter-Gaud in scoring with 19 points.

James Island 41, Victory Christian 38 - The Trojans outlasted the team from Charlotte as Justin Bolus scored a team-high 11 points.  James Island will meet Porter-Gaud in the all-Lowcountry final on Tuesday at 8:00 PM.

 

CONSOLATION ROUND

Northwood Academy 58, Baptist Hill 52 - The Charges pulled out the win despite 28 points by the Bobcats' Shaquille Mitchell.  Jimmy Thomas and Tayvaughn Major scored 12 points each for Northwood.

First Baptist 48, Bishop England 36 - Michael Bocklet led the Hurricanes to the victory with 21 points.

Coastal Christian 70, Academic Magnet 67 - The Raptors lost even though Avery Nwokike scored a game-high 27 points.

Cape Fear Academy 57, Charleston Charter 40 - John Wilgus scored 12 points in the loss for the Riptide.

Colleton County 62, Charleston Collegiate 60 - The Cougars outlasted the Sun Devils thanks to 24 points from Frankell William.  Khalil Davis and Ty Solomon both scored 21 points in the loss.

 

GIRLS' BRACKET

SEMIFINALS

Northwood Academy 58, Pinewood Prep 56 (F/2OT) - Amber Campbell went off for 45 points, helping send the Chargers to the finals, where they will play Carolina Day (87-29 winners over Cardinal Newman).  Bri Boyd and Jennifer Rhodes both had 13 points in the losing effort for the Panthers.

 

CONSOLATION

Colleton County 64, Porter-Gaud 19 - Latisha Burns and Delya Brown both scored 16 points in a rout of the host school.  The Cougars will take on Wren for fifth place.

First Baptist 39, Cross 18 - McKala Rhodes scored 19 points to pace the Hurricanes in the win.

Burke 48, Ashley Hall 22 - The Bulldogs got 20 points from Shawnna McNeil to make the 9th place game.

James Island 40, Academic Maget 18 - The Trojan will face Burke in the 9th place game; Sara Wright led James Island with 12 points.

Cape Fear Academy 37, Charleston Charter 33 - Shanetta Sabb had 11 points as the Riptide fell.
