American Eagle plane evacuated after smoke alarm goes off

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - 50 passengers and three crew members on board American Eagle airplane flight 3450 were evacuated Wednesday morning due after a smoke alarm went off in the baggage compartment.

Charleston International Airport officials say firefighter could find no indication of an actual fire and that the passengers on the plane were rebooked.

No injuries were reported.

Everyone on board is safe, and the cause of the smoke is not yet known. Count on Live 5 to bring you the details as they become available.
