Suspect arrested after Georgetown bank robbery

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown police have arrested a suspect after a bank robbery happened on Fraser Street on Thursday afternoon.

Georgetown Police Captain Nelson Brown says the robbery happened around 12:40 p.m. at the South Carolina Bank and Trust on North Fraser Street.

Police say the suspect was taken into custody immediately following the robbery.  No other details have been released yet.
