Women held up in Dorchester County home invasion

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for two men who broke into a home and held up two women at a home in Ridgeville Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a home on Eagle Drive in reference to a 911 call in which the dispatcher could hear a woman's voice in the background calling for help.

Authorities found two women who told officers that two men "busted" into the home and pointed a gun at one of the victim's head demanding money.

According to investigators, both women were forced to the ground and ordered to stay down while the suspects searched the home.

The victims said that the suspects took a 20 gauge shotgun, bottles of alcohol, medicine and marijuana.

Authorities describe both suspects as black males between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. The first suspect is described as 6-foot tall and a slender build while the other is described as 5'8" and having a slender build.

The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation.
