BEAUFORT, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say two people were arrested on Thursday after authorities discovered a meth lab at a home in Beaufort County.
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office charged 42-year-old Bradley Todd Roy with purchasing large amounts of pseudoephedrine, manufacturing methamphetamine and discarding the waste of methamphetamine.
Authorities also charged 29-year-old Angelica Leonor Escalante of Hardeeville with conspiracy to purchase products containing pseudoephedrine and possession of methamphetamine.
According to investigators, in December, authorities learned that Roy was involved in buying pseudoephedrine. Deputies say Roy and Escalante had been making purchases of large amounts of pseudoephedrine.
Investigators then executed a search warrant at Roy's home on Coney Island Lane in Bluffton.
The sheriff's office says a search of the residence yielded methamphetamine as well components to manufacture methamphetamine.
Authorities say Roy was also arrested last year following a drug investigation in February of 2010 for manufacturing methamphetamine.
