CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two Occupy Charleston protesters will have their cases go before a jury trial. The other seven had their charges deferred, meaning they will be dismissed as long as the protesters stay out of trouble for the next six months.
Justin Honea and Ramon Antonio Caraballo decided to move forward with their cases.
All nine protesters were arrested in November on trespassing charges after police say they were demonstrating in Marion Square after the park closed.
One of the protesters, Brandon Fish, says the protesters plan on converging in Washington on Jan. 17 with other Occupy protesters.
