Suspect sought in Christmas Eve armed robbery

JASPER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Police are on the lookout for a man suspected of robbing a convenience store on Christmas Eve.

The Ridgeland Police Department responded to the Bobops convenience store in Port Royal on Dec. 24.

According to police, two men entered the store and attempted to rob THE store.

Authorities say two store patrons tackled one of the suspects, later identified as 21-year-old Christopher Jamar Clemons.

Clemons was charged with armed robbery.

Police are trying to identify and locate the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ridgeland Police Department.

    The Isle of Palms Public Safety Committee will be discussing the possibility of a shuttle that would run between the island and Mount Pleasant on Wednesday night. It’s not the first time they’ve discussed this.
