CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office filed more charges Wednesday and announced the arrest of the fourth suspect wanted in the abduction and murder case of a 25-year-old man.
The body of Marquis Richardson was found last month along the railroad tracks off Lincolnville Road. Charleston County sheriff's deputies say Richardson was shot in the head execution style.
Major Jim Brady announced Wednesday that deputies arrested a fourth suspect, Fredrick Andre Sanders. Last week deputies arrested 23-year-old Latasha Yvette McCall of Charleston, King Dominique Wilson, 22, of North Charleston and Travaris Walker, 29, of Charleston, and charged them with kidnapping.
In addition, Walker has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Wilson, Sanders and McCall have also been charged with accessory before the fact of murder and accessory after the fact of murder. McCall is facing an obstruction of justice charge.
During the investigation, detectives learned that Richardson was abducted at gunpoint from Norman Street and was forced into a vehicle and taken from the house. Brady said Wednesday that investigators believe Richardson was kidnapped because Walker believed that the victim had stolen some of his property.
Brady also said that investigators believe Richardson was taken to the tracks off Lincolnville Road because it was a secluded area.
Wilson, Sanders, McCall and Walker were all denied bond Wednesday on the updated charges.
