Goose Creek Dollar General robbed

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Another Dollar General has been robbed, this time in Goose Creek. Goose Creek police responded to a robbery around 8 a.m. at the Dollar General on N. Goose Creek Boulevard.

An employee told officers that a man forced his way into the store as she was opening the business for the day.The suspect ordered her to deactivate the store's alarm and then told her to open the safe. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The victim told police that the suspect did not present a weapon.

When officers arrived they set up a perimeter in the area around Liberty Hall Road. A police canine tracked the suspect a short distance before the track went cold.

Investigators are still on scene.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark clothing, a hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask.
