Deputies investigate home invasion in Pawleys Island

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office are investigating a home invasion which happened in Pawleys Island early Friday.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Parkersville Road where two suspects forced entry into the victim's home.

The victim said he heard a knock at the front door, and opened it to find two men holding what appeared to be a handgun. The suspects forced the front door open, and the victim was struck by one of the suspect's several times and pushed down, authorities say.

The suspects are described as two black males dressed in dark clothing. One suspect was wearing gloves. Both suspects were approximately 6' 01" in height, had a slim build, and appeared to be between 28 and 32 years of age.

Deputies say the suspects fled the area on foot heading southbound on Parkersville Road toward Martin Luther King Road.

In an attempt to locate the suspects or witnesses, sheriff's deputies canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspects or anyone who witnessed the incident.
