N.Charleston firefighters investigating fire at vacant building

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The North Charleston Fire Department is investigating a fire that shut down westbound lanes for several hours Monday night on Rivers Avenue.

Officials say smoke was coming out of a vacant business in the 4600 block of Rivers Avenue when crews were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

There was moderate damage to the building.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
