Road work crews closed one lane on the Ravenel Bridge on Tuesday to repair a deck.
SCDOT officials say the repairs to the deck stem from an accident in December where 32-year-old Quentin Miller was killed in a deadly wreck.
Authorities say on Dec. 17, 2011, 32-year-old Adam Joseph Burnell of Mt. Pleasant, was driving an Audi convertible and rear ended the victim's Mustang. The Mustang started spinning several times, striking the wall between the roadway and the pedestrian path.
Burnell was charged with felony DUI.
