Gov. Haley: State of State to focus on jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is preparing to deliver her second State of the State address.

Haley will speak to a joint session of the Legislature at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

If the governor's budget proposal released last week is any indication, Haley will likely push for income tax cuts and more law enforcement officers and Family Court judges.

Haley's first State of the State in 2011 lasted 34 minutes and included recognition for the 17 military service members from South Carolina who died in the last year.
