ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - Investigators found 22 guns during a meth lab bust at a home in Orangeburg Wednesday night.
A joint investigation with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office resulted in the arrest of Reginald Arnold Hutto II.
On Wednesday night, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Old State Road. After entering the residence, investigators say they observed ingredients to produce methamphetamine and packaged methamphetamine, a marijuana plant growing in a container in a bedroom, packaged marijuana and scales.
An incident report states that 22 weapons of various calibers, one identified as stolen out of Walterboro, were also found.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says that two 40 foot metal cargo containers, three 20 foot metal cargo containers and 12 trailer chassis were discovered on the property. According to authorities, ten of the chassis had altered vehicle identification numbers and two were reported stolen.
"We are grateful for the cooperative efforts of Sheriff Wayne Dewitt and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office in their efforts to locate stolen property from their jurisdiction and aid us in our investigation as well," Sheriff Ravenell said.
Authorities are continuing the investigation.
