Candidates make final push before SC Primary

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Fresh off Thursday night's debate turned boxing match, the four remaining Republican presidential candidates hit the campaign trail for the final full day of campaigning before Saturday's South Carolina Primary. Several candidates will make appearances in the Lowcountry.

Newt Gingrich will stop off at the MUSC Children's Hospital in downtown Charleston on Friday morning and then at 2:30 p.m. he will hold a town hall forum at the Cinema Room in Orangeburg.

At 8 p.m., Gingrich has a book signing and veterans town hall on the Yorktown at Patriots Point.

Mitt Romney starts his day in the Midlands with Gov. Nikki Haley. Then at 3:30 p.m. he returns to North Charleston.

Rick Santorum is meeting with voters in the Midlands before ending his day at The Citadel at 7:15 p.m. for a campaign rally. He will address The Citadel Patriot dinner.

Ron Paul has three events planned for Friday. The first is at 11:15 where he will host Charleston Whistle Stop at the Charleston International Airport. Then he heads to the Grand Strand and the Upstate.
