Deputies nab another suspect in 300-gallon fuel theft

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested another suspect involved in the theft of more than 300-gallons of fuel from a convenience store in Orangeburg.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office charged 28-year-old Dianna Marie Benton of Adams Run with larceny.

Benton is the fifth person authorities have arrested following the theft of fuel from the Quick Pantry on Five Chop Road on Oct. 7.

"Dianna Marie Benton appeared before an Orangeburg Magistrate yesterday after all four of her co-defendants have already had their day in court," Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. "Benton and the four males were caught on video surveillance on October 7 stealing more than 300 gallons of premium gasoline. A blue truck with containers in the back can be seen in the video."

"This case has been ongoing for several months now and we are pleased with the efforts of our officers that everyone had their day in court," Ravenell said.
