ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff Office says more than 20 arrests have been made on burglary; assault, drugs, and weapons warrants after officers conducted a warrant roundup this week.
Authorities say multiple law enforcement agencies set out to serve more than 60 warrants on serious offenses over a two day period. One of arrest resulted in solving an additional burglary from June 2010.
Investigators arrested and charged Jajuan Cooke, of Orangeburg for burglary after he entered a home and stole jewelry as well as a gun from the residence. Cooke was also charged with another burglary the occurred on January 16 2012.
Jonathan Janard Holman, of Cordova was arrested and charged with burglary after he kick in the front door and enter a residence twice in one night. Delvin Summers of Orangeburg was charged with armed robbery after deputies say he held a victim at gun point and took $150. Summers also shot at the victim during the robbery.
Authorities also arrested and charged Raquel Evola Jamison of Orangeburg with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. According to deputies Jamison punched her victim in the chest two times sending them to the hospital for treatment.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said, "These operations are vital to locate and arrest individuals who have committed crimes in this county and who are fleeing prosecution. Officers have spent countless hours responding to these crimes, investigating suspects, and victims want to know that someone is being held accountable. We are grateful for all the coordination across four Sheriff's Office divisions and the support and manpower Public Safety, Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services, SLED, and the Fugitive Task Force provided to make this operation a success."
