Ridgeville home destroyed in blaze

RIDGEVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A Ridgeville home was destroyed early Monday morning after a fire broke out.

Firefighters responded to the Carter Road blaze around 2 a.m. Monday. The 1,400-square-foot home was 75 percent involved when firefighters arrived.

Units from Ridgeville and Dorchester fire departments helped put out the flames.

There is no word on what caused the fire.

Officials say the house was vacant.
