NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A judge set bond at $250,000 on Tuesday for the man accused of barricading himself inside a North Charleston home Monday after police say he held an ex-girlfriend against her will.

Police arrested 21-year-old Quantez Jahmal Jackson on kidnapping charges. On Tuesday, he faced a bond court judge.

The incident began Sunday when Jackson allegedly held an ex-girlfriend against her will at an Orvid Street residence.

According to court papers, the suspect covered all of the windows so no one could see inside, then held a knife on the woman all night. The woman was finally able to leave the house and called police.

Officers located Jackson at a home on Louise Drive on Monday morning. He eventually came out of the home and was arrested after a short standoff.

SWAT team members were preparing to make entry before Jackson came out of the residence.
