Man gets 23 years for stabbing, death of Pawleys Island woman

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (AP) - A Myrtle Beach man has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for stabbing a woman and then causing a fatal crash that killed a different Pawleys Island woman.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports that 30-year-old Johnny Samuel Foster pleaded guilty to seven counts and was sentenced Monday by Circuit Court Judge Edward Cottingham.

Authorities said the incident happened in March of 2010 when Foster stabbed a woman during an argument. While trying to get away in his car, he was then involved in a three-car accident in which a different Pawleys Island woman was killed.
