Authorities capture Live 5 Most Wanted fugitive

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities have arrested a 24-year-old man wanted on charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and first-degree burglary.

Investigators say on Nov. 3, 2011, Bobby Eugene Warthaw attacked his pregnant girlfriend at her West Ashley apartment.

"When she would not open the door for him to come in, he kicked in the door and entered anyway," said Charleston Police Cpl. Fred Bowie.

Police say Warthaw went after her.

"She retreated to the kitchen and picked up a baby chair to hold between them. He grabbed the baby chair and in the course of grabbing the baby chair he knocked over the two year old child they have in common," Bowie said.

Investigators say Warthaw then grabbed his girlfriend by her throat and punched her in the face.

"Has to be pretty disgusting number one, number two, it had to be terrifying if a you're a mother and if you're a two year old child, terrifying also," Bowie said.

Warthaw was featured in Live 5's Most Wanted broadcast in December.
