North Charleston home damaged in fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A fire severely damaged a home in North Charleston on Wednesday night.

The blaze broke out around 11:30 p.m. on Cambridge Avenue. First arriving units reported light smoke showing from the single family home.Firefighters  forced entry into the home and extinguished the fire.

No one was injured and no one was at home at the time of the blaze. Authorities are still trying to figure out what sparked the fire.

Firefighters from North Charleston and the City of Charleston Fire departments worked the blaze, which took a little less than an hour.
