SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The seventh earthquake in four months was reported Sunday night near Summerville.
A 1.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey just 3 miles southeast of Summerville just after 10:30 p.m.
On Jan. 9, a 1.5-magnitude earthquake was recorded 4 miles southeast of Summerville just before 5 p.m.
A 2.6-magnitude earthquake was also recorded in January, and on New Year's Day a 1.4-magnitude earthquake was reported near the same area.
Another 2.6-magnitude earthquake was reported on Dec. 21 and a 2.2-magnitude earthquake was reported 14 days before that. A 2.5-magnitude earthquake was also reported on Oct. 15.
