Thousands show up for veteran's job fair in N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Thousands of out of work veterans and their families got a chance to find a new job on Wednesday in North Charleston.

Congressman Tim Scott hosted the job fair at the North Charleston Convention Center Wednesday afternoon.

It was open to all veterans, active duty military and their families. One of the organizers says between 2500 and 3,000 people looking for a job showed up.

One hundred businesses were on site looking to hire or planning to hire in the near future including some of the big businesses in the Tri-County like Boeing and Google.
