Charleston puts free Wi-Fi in Marion Square

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The city of Charleston is working with Google to put free Wi-Fi high-speed internet access in a major downtown park.

Mayor Joe Riley and other officials announced the new service Wednesday that will cover Marion Square.

The square between King and Meeting streets is a popular attraction and is used for numerous events throughout the year including the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, Spoleto, the Charleston Farmers Market and the city's annual holiday celebration.
