Cops: Man robbed at gunpoint after selling cell phone

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating an armed robbery which happened in North Charleston on Wednesday at a gas station on Dorchester Road.

North Charleston Police Department officials say a man was held at gunpoint and robbed immediately at 7:30 p.m., just after selling a cell phone to an employee at the Li'l Cricket in the 6800 block of Dorchester Road.

The victim told police that a black male standing about 6' tall and weighing 140 pounds and dressed in black pants and a black hoodie approached him with a silver and black revolver as the victim was getting into his car.

The robber took $160, all of the money that the Li'l Cricket employee had just given him for the phone.
