ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is hosting a gang awareness seminar at the Santee Convention Center on March 8 at the Santee Conference Center.
According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenel they've had great attendance and interactions during previous seminars and excited about presenting vital information to resident's of Santee and surrounding areas.
Sheriff Ravenel said, "Through these presentations, community leaders and parents will gain a better understanding of gang activity in their neighborhoods and know the signs of gang affiliation in young adults. We thank Mayor Donnie Hilliard, the Santee Police Department and Chief Bing Jones in making this opportunity possible."
The Seminar will take place at the Santee Conference Center at 6 p.m. Registration is not required and all are invited to participate.
