SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says a 48-year-old man died after he got stuck in a machine he was working on Tuesday morning.
Authorities say that around 11 a.m., Lamar Ravenell, of Moncks Corner was doing maintenance on some machinery at a Summerville asphalt plant when he became "entangled" in the machine.
He was rescued by the fire department and transported to a local hospital where he died.
The death was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and ruled as an accidental death. The cause of death was from traumatic injuries received in the accident.
