GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

A 58-year-old man driving a motorcycle in Goose Creek was seriously injured after another motorist pulled out in front of him on Thursday morning, authorities say.

The Goose Creek Police Department says Stephen Flowers of Moncks Corner was transported to MUSC with serious injuries. Officers responded to a traffic collision around 9:51 a.m. in front of the La Petite Academy daycare center on St. James Avenue involving a 1989 Honda Civic and 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle.

According to investigators, the motorcycle was traveling west on St. James Avenue when a car pulled onto the road from the daycare in front of the motorcycle.

A police report states that the motorcycle then crashed into the driver's side of the car. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police say Flowers was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.  Authorities are continuing the investigation.
