Charleston 'American Idol' contestant saved by judges

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Fans of Mt. Pleasant singer Elise Testone were kept on the edge of their seats during Thursday night's episode of American Idol.

Testone was the female vocalist with the fewest number of votes, but the judges chose to save her.

Music Unlimited, where Testone is a voice teacher, held a watch party Thursday night at the Windjammer on the Isle of Palms.

Testone's friends, fans and students say the nerve-wracking episode was worth all the stress. They look forward to continuing their support of Testone.
