Residents to receive information on James Island incorporation

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Information will be arriving in mailboxes of property owners affected by James Island's new attempt to incorporate into a town.

A spokesperson for the City of Charleston says the cards should be arriving late this week to notify owners ahead of the April 24 referendum.

This is James Island's fourth attempt at becoming its own town.

The last three times, the court sided with the City of Charleston and the town was dissolved.
