1 left homeless after porch fire in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A porch fire at a North Charleston home left one resident homeless early Monday morning.

North Charleston Fire Department crews responded to the 3,200-block of Meeting Street Road just before 5:15 a.m. to find the front porch of the single-family home on fire.

It didn't take them long to bring the fire under control and flames were contained to the porch.  No one was injured but a resident is now having to stay with family and friends.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
